An American in Asia
The client was a senior American financial services executive based in South-East Asia.
He had a technically-orientated background and had recently been appointed to a business development role. This was more entrepreneurial than he was used to. He was also operating in a culturally sensitive environment so he needed to understand the behavioural norms in the countries where he was negotiating.
The coaching focussed on his need to develop his influence, leadership and business behaviours and to fine-tune these for a range of countries including Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
